At that time, waste disposal was rather complicated. There were impractical, bulky metal containers and bag holders. A. & J. Stöckli AG ushered in a new era with the introduction of a plastic waste separation system. What are waste separators?

A waste separator is a container that is suitable for the disposal of waste. Basically, waste separators can be made from a variety of materials such as plastic, stainless steel or aluminum. Waste separators usually have partitions or are individually removable containers. They are particularly important for waste separation in the kitchen.

The aim was to design the waste system so that it would fit under the kitchen sink. The bag should also be as tear-resistant as possible. In 1982, we launched a plastic waste separation system under the Müllex brand. Since the introduction of our waste separation system, it has been a mandatory part of many Swiss households.

Recycling is playing an increasingly important role all over the world - including in Switzerland. The issue of sustainability is also becoming increasingly important.
