If we go back a few decades in time, we see that the waste bin had no fixed place for a long time. It was simply standing around somewhere in the kitchen, clearly visible and not particularly visually appealing. Bulky metal containers and unsightly bag holders took up space and were cumbersome. So a system was needed that would eliminate all these inconveniences.

It had to be a plastic waste bin that could easily hold a garbage bag. It also had to have a hidden place under the kitchen sink. In 1982, we at Müllex launched the first plastic system and the success story began. Our latest product range is the X-LINE.

During the development phase, we meticulously evaluated customer feedback. Of course, we also regularly take into account the latest kitchen trends that Europe has to offer. We are also always up to date with the latest recycling trends.

Waste bin tailored to your kitchen

The population's collection behavior with regard to waste and recyclable materials has changed significantly in recent years. In 2016, the recycling rate in Switzerland was already 52 percent. Waste bins and waste separation systems must keep up with this development. Our X-LINE offers an excellent solution for waste separation in everyday life.

The flexible product line can be integrated into existing drawer pulls with depths between 400 and 500 millimeters. Our X-LINE is characterized by its modular system. The product line consists of four different waste separation containers:

With the exception of the X80 model, they are available in two different heights. Thanks to various combination options, the waste system can be flexibly adapted to the individual needs of your own household.

A total of seven containers are available for separating recyclables and storing various utensils. Two additional trays can be placed on the drawers, providing storage space for rags, sponges and more. The trays are also dishwasher safe.

The back panels of the drawers are adjustable so that they can be installed in any kitchen cupboard. Anyone who has problems with space due to the drain pipes will benefit from the rotating plug-in system of the back panels.

Simple and convenient handling

As part of the X-LINE, we use a container-in-container principle. This allows convenient access from above. What's even more convenient? Our new full-extension ball bearing slide! Thanks to it, the drawer can be pulled out very smoothly.

Clamping garbage bags is probably one of the most unpleasant tasks in the kitchen. Either they slide down, or air gets trapped between the garbage bag and the container, which has to be laboriously let out. Clamping almost never works smoothly.

We at Müllex are of course also familiar with this problem and have come up with something special: movable bag clamps. The waste bins are equipped with four spring-loaded clamping fingers. They are located in the corners of the bin and are thus arranged to save space. Thanks to the corner radii that open downwards, not only clamping but also removing the garbage bag is very easy.

Only a few steps separate you from optimally adapted waste bin

With the X-LINE, the laborious task of determining the drawer make, depth and side wall thickness is over. The process of selecting the optimal waste bin is made much easier and shorter. But let's start from the beginning.

First, the width of the body must be measured. If this is between 450 and 900 millimeters, our X-LINE can be used. Then it's time to consider the height. Our systems are available in two different heights: M and L. However, we only offer the X80 waste separation bin in height L.

Our L-models require an installation height of 414 millimeters or more. They are equipped with a large container with a capacity of 40 liters. Garbage bags can therefore be filled to the brim without any problem.

Compared to the ZK BOXX, we have managed to reduce the required installation height by 9 centimetres with this model. This means we are meeting the trend of increasingly larger sinks and ensuring that our systems can fit underneath.

The M versions are suitable for low kitchen base cabinets. An installation height of at least 367 millimeters is required. The main containers have a capacity of 35 liters. Compared to our EURO ZK BOXX, we have managed to reduce the height by 28 millimeters.

Once the appropriate model height has been selected, the last step is to choose between the basic and premium versions. The basic versions are equipped with either the lid or the basic drawer. The premium models come - how could it be otherwise - with the premium drawer.

We would now like to introduce our ZK BOXX, which has already been mentioned several times, in more detail. This waste system also fits into existing drawers. In order to ensure a better hold when opening and closing, insert trays are required.

Thanks to their special recesses, they hold the waste bin in place so that it does not wobble or even fall over when moving. The insert trays are easy to remove and can be cleaned without any problem if something goes wrong.

The bucket itself is equipped with a hinged crown. This means that the garbage bag can be easily opened and filled to the brim. Of course, there are also additional containers here. These can be used to collect organic waste, batteries, coffee capsules and anything else that has no place in normal household waste.

The storage drawer offers a practical storage option. It can be pulled out and offers enough space for cleaning cloths, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags and much more.

The BOXX-R waste system is also one of our top sellers. It is the right choice for anyone who wants to build a new kitchen or renovate it. The system is delivered in combination with a pull-out and integrates wonderfully into any kitchen. The waste system can be attached to an existing front without much effort and then inserted into the pull-out.

This is equipped with a high-quality roller slide. It can be extended and retracted quietly. The integrated pull-in damper gently slows down the extension and allows the kitchen front to be closed almost silently.

The extension can also support a load of up to 100 kilograms. Thanks to the high screw angle, no one needs to worry that such a high weight could compromise stability. It ensures sufficient support when opening and closing.

Of course, the BOXX-R waste bin is also equipped with a hinged bag clamp. Slipping garbage bags that collapse when filled are now a thing of the past.

If desired, smaller additional containers can be added to the main waste bin, which can be used to collect additional waste or as storage space. Kitchen utensils and other small items that often have no fixed place and are lying around everywhere can also be stored in the storage drawer.

Since the waste bins are hung in place, a gap is created between the floor and the pull-out floor. This can of course also be used as storage space. For example, it offers space for cleaning products and more. The recesses in the pull-out and the additional metal brackets ensure that the stored utensils do not fall out when moving.
